Mayor Watts is encouraging everyone to proudly display their red, white, and blue.


Did you know that you should never throw the American Flag in the garbage?  To throw a flag in the garbage is considered desecration of the flag.  A formal ceremony is held to retire old, worn flags as a way of showing respect for our country's flag.  The following locations will be available now through June 12 as drop off points for flags ready for retirement:

City Hall
Chamber of Commerce
Ross Tire

A proper retirement ceremony will be held at the American Legion Post 38 at 7:00pm.  That is located at 151 S. Wooddale Boulevard, Baton Rouge.
